Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Malaysia seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead a shift team in driving WIP turns and meeting bottleneck targets. You will analyze issues, coordinate with Production Control on capacity, and push productivity improvements across processes and equipment.

Applicants should have 5–10 years in semiconductor manufacturing and 3–5 years in leadership, with strong cross-functional collaboration, Lean/Six Sigma expertise, and English plus Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Manufacturing, Electronics, or related disciplines.
• 5–10 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience; 3–5 years leading Shift Supervisors or multiple production teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and monitoring WIP, tool performance, and production issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of shift Supervisors to meet WTR and MOVES targets at bottleneck tools/processes.
• Investigate misprocess and handling incidents; liaise with Production Control on capacity and loading.
• Manage productivity improvement projects and drive Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and operational standards; recognize good practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and FMEA; support cross-functional teams.

Lead a group of shift Supervisor to ensure the daily WIP Turn Ratio (WTR) are being achieved with the MOVES target achievement set by line steering at wafer fab bottleneck tools/ processes

Involvement in any misprocess or handling issue incidents investigation related to human handling

Liaise with Production Control on capacity and loading issues to achieve optimum capacity utilization.Initiate and manage productivity improvement project

Managing people and recognize the good behavior / practice to encourage the good manufacturing practice. Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA.

Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence projects.

Lead a group of shift Supervisor to ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and operational standards.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Manufacturing, Electronics, or related disciplines
• Minimum 5-10 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferably. Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading Shift Supervisors or multiple production teams
• Manages day-to-day fabrication activities to ensure safe, stable, and predictable production by monitoring WIP, tool performance, and resolving operational issues
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production)
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure & Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization
• Equipped with knowledge in Front-end wafer fabrication operation management/process/manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing principle, 8D problem solving, TWI, Critical thinking, SQL knowledge or excel macro programing skill
• Well verse in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Ability to support shift work.
