Airswift is seeking an experienced HVAC engineer for offshore FPSO and marine facilities in Malaysia. The role covers design review, vendor coordination, installation support, commissioning, and maintenance, with emphasis on safe, compliant offshore HVAC system performance across accommodation, machinery spaces, electrical rooms, and other offshore spaces.

Responsabilités

• Perform HVAC engineering design reviews and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate interfaces with Marine, Hull, Piping, Electrical, and other disciplines.
• Provide installation support, commissioning and testing for offshore facilities.
• Support brownfield modification and life extension projects.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and ITPs.

Description du poste

This opportunity focuses on HVAC engineering for FPSO and offshore facilities, covering design review, technical coordination, installation support, commissioning, and maintenance support within a marine environment. The role offers involvement across engineering deliverables, vendor coordination, brownfield modification, and life extension activities while supporting compliance with Class requirements and offshore standards. This position will contribute to safe, effective HVAC system performance across accommodation areas, machinery spaces, electrical rooms, and other designated offshore spaces.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, HVAC Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering within the marine, FPSO, offshore oil and gas, or shipbuilding industry
• Experience in engineering design, vendor coordination, construction support, and commissioning
• Experience working with Class requirements, preferably ABS or equivalent Class societies
• Experience supporting inspection, survey, condition assessment, repair, replacement, and modification of HVAC systems for offshore facilities

Required Skills

• Strong technical capability in HVAC system design review, equipment sizing, heat-load calculations, ventilation requirements, and technical specification review
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, compressors, ventilation fans, dampers, filters, ducting, piping, and associated systems
• Ability to coordinate interfaces with Marine, Hull, Structural, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Safety disciplines
• Familiarity with hazardous-area requirements and marine/offshore standards including SOLAS, IMO, IEC, and NFPA
• Capability to support fabrication, installation, offshore construction, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system completion activities
• Ability to prepare technical reports, progress updates, engineering recommendations, and review workpacks, method statements, and inspection and test plans
• Competence in engineering tools, technical analysis, package engineering, interface management, and engineering subcontract coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems for FPSO, FSO, offshore platforms, or marine vessels
• Experience in brownfield modification, life extension, refurbishment, or maintenance projects
• Exposure to technical meetings, design reviews, HAZID, and HAZOP workshops
