Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Melaka, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Engineer Facility Management to lead optimization of water services and wastewater systems within our Manufacturing and Operations teams, ensuring reliability and environmental compliance.

You will coordinate with local authorities, drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma and SPC, manage projects from budgeting to handover, and serve as the site expert on UPW and water treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related).
• Minimum 5 years in UPW, wastewater, or sewerage systems in semiconductor/facilities-centric industries.
• Experience in operation, maintenance, optimization, and project management of water systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive optimization and continuous improvement of water services and wastewater systems to boost productivity, reliability, and sustainability.
• Ensure zero legal and corporate non-compliance for water services and wastewater systems.
• Maintain relations with DOE, SAMB and other agencies for regulatory alignment.
• Develop capacity monitoring and planning using Tableau, SAP, and related tools.
• Define tech roadmap, specs, databases, and docs for water systems in compliance with regs.
• Lead or support project activities from feasibility to handover, including budgeting and design criteria.
• Act as site focal point for water services and provide technical support to project and operations teams.
• Represent the site in Facility Management discussions and drive continuous improvement via 8D/Lean Six Sigma/ SPC.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible for driving optimization and continuous improvement of water services and wastewater treatment systems to enhance productivity, reliability, operational stability, and environmental sustainability
• Ensure zero legal and corporate non-compliance related to water services and wastewater treatment systems.
• Maintain strong working relationships with local authorities such as the Department of Environment (DOE), Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB), and other relevant agencies
• Develop and implement effective capacity monitoring and planning processes to ensure timely fulfillment of water service and wastewater treatment demands through tools such as Tableau, SAP, and other relevant systems
• Define and maintain the technology roadmap, specifications, databases, and documentation for water services and wastewater treatment systems in compliance with local regulations and corporate requirements
• Lead and/or support project execution activities, including but not limited to feasibility studies, budgeting, preparation and approval of design criteria, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, documentation, cost control, reporting, and project handover
• Serve as the site focal point for water services and wastewater treatment systems by providing technical support to both project and operations teams
• Act as the local site technical expert and representative for discussions , knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the Facility Management Cluster
• Lead and/or support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), change management, and other improvement tools

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or a related discipline)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, and/or Sewerage Treatment Systems within the semiconductor industry, facilities management, engineering services, or related industries
• Experience in the operation, maintenance, optimization, and project management of water and wastewater treatment systems is an added advantage
