Job summary

Intel's APTM organization seeks a Staff Technology Development Substrate Yield Lead to drive supplier yield, defect reduction, and process-control maturity supporting EMIB-T substrates across Japan suppliers. The role is high-visibility with accountability for technology development and manufacturing readiness.

Based in Malaysia with expat assignment in Japan, you will lead cross-functional investigations, deploy analytics dashboards, and ensure on-time delivery of yield milestones while

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a technical field with 4–6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, substrate tech, or yield engineering.
• Ability to drive data-driven decisions in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day yield performance and issue closure for supplier lines and processes.
• Lead structured investigations from containment to corrective action and sustainment.
• Use analytics to identify signatures by line, tool, material, and time.
• Establish supplier actions, owners, completion criteria, and verification plans.
• Support qualification, ramp readiness, and deployment of dashboards/analytics.
• Communicate facts, hypotheses, decisions, and residual risks clearly.
