Job summary

Dyson in Malaysia is seeking an electronics hardware design engineer with a strong background in home appliance electronics. The role requires planning work to meet project goals and delivering high-quality hardware solutions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics or Telecom and at least two years of design experience, with knowledge in power electronics, motor control, analog/digital, and embedded MCU platforms; familiarity with Mentor Graphics is an advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication or equivalent.
At least 2 years experience in electronics hardware design and development.
Knowledge in power electronics, motor control, analog/digital design and interfacing.
Experience with embedded microcontrollers (8/16-bit/ARM) is an advantage.
Familiar with schematic capture and PCB layout software such as Mentor Graphics.
Experience with design validation, tolerance analysis and documentation.
Knowledge of Home Appliance Safety standards is advantageous.
Strong English communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement electronics solutions for home appliances.
Ensure designs meet specifications, performance, reliability and regulatory standards.
Prototype and implement analog/digital hardware and embedded software.
Produce engineering materials: schematics, PCB layouts, FMEA and reports.
Collaborate with motor, mechanical and test engineers to meet requirements.
Assist manufacturing for high-volume production friendliness.
Identify technical risks and drive resolution through testing and analysis.
Drive supplier and contract manufacturer processes to Dyson standards.
