Job summary

Asta Chemicals Sdn. Bhd. in Perai is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to formulate maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and optimize electrical and instrumentation systems.

The role involves developing preventive maintenance and calibration plans, reviewing spare parts usage, leading plant projects, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics with 2–3 years in chemical manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics) with 2–3 years in chemical manufacturing.
Diploma holder with extensive electrical/instrumentation maintenance experience encouraged to apply.
Proficiency with SAP, ISO9001:2008, 5S.desirable.

Responsibilities

Formulate and review preventive maintenance plans for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Develop calibration plans for plant equipment and instruments and implement timely changes.
Monitor spare parts consumption and reduce maintenance cost where possible.
Lead new projects or modifications within the plant as project manager.
Ensure safety, health and environmental compliance by subordinates and contractors.
