Job summary

IAQ Group is seeking a Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience to lead electrical design and construction efforts in Penang. You will oversee design, tendering, site supervision, and commissioning across high, medium, and low voltage systems, coordinating with disciplines and ensuring timely delivery.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and willingness to travel to project sites, with secondment to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in design/construction in electrical generation and distribution.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and calculations for electrical systems.
• Assist in tender planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and proposals.
• Ensure design delivery aligns with schedule and scope.
• Guide CAD designers and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Manage site supervision and handover documentation.
• Review technical submissions from contractors and verify scope compliance.
• Support quality and safety during construction and testing.
