Job summary

DayOne in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned EHS leader to deliver and oversee environmental, health and safety programs across projects for internal and external stakeholders, including global clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health with at least 10 years in safety management on large-scale projects, preferably oil & gas or construction, plus registered EHS officer status and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.
• At least 10 years of experience in safety management on projects of similar size/complexity.
• Experience from oil and gas or construction industries.
• Professional EHS certifications would add credentials.
• Well-versed with safety legislations and ISO 45001/14001.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the strategies and activities of the EHS function.
• Cultivate an improvement culture across all projects to ensure a healthy, safe, and accident-free working environment.
• Lead and supervise EHS teams appointed to contractors/consultants.
• Implement EHS guidelines, policies, and management systems, including regulatory requirements.
• Provide EHS support in various areas including site safety audits with scope and deliverables.
• Maintain records of EHS incidents, conduct investigations, and develop corrective actions.
• Manage construction site emergency response plans for safety and health.
• Prepare regular EHS performance reports for client review.
• Analyze leading and lagging safety metrics and report to leadership.
