Job summary

Tacam Steel Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Drafter in Malaysia to lead drafting activities and produce accurate, regulation-compliant drawings for door manufacture. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to capture project requirements and ensure timely delivery.

You will create detailed CAD/BIM designs, review drawings, guide a drafting team, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Experience with door systems is an advantage. On-site work in Batu Pahat is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD drafting and BIM.

• Ad-hoc duties as required by the superior.

The Senior Drafter is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, coordinating drafting activities, and providing guidance to the drafting team. The role ensures that drawings are accurate, comply with project requirements and specifications, and are completed within the required timeline.

Key responsibilities

Coordinating with different departments to define project requirements

Create detailed designs with CAD software/BIM

Liaise with different departments to gather detailed information to prepare drawings for the manufacture of doors

Ensure designs comply with regulations and quality standards

Review and update drawings as per managers' instructions

Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings

Guides and supervises team of drafters

Good knowledge of door systems, door details, hardware, and related construction requirements is an added advantage.

Accept any other ad-hoc duties assignments from superior when needed.
