Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer/Engineer in Diffusion Process to monitor and optimize wafer production, drive process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will develop recipes, apply SPC/DOE, and mentor Associate Engineers while contributing to fab excellence and potential patent opportunities. The role is based in the GF Malaysia office in Penang, Malaysia, offering exposure to advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives

Qualifications

• MS/BS in relevant engineering field and 3+ years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Solid knowledge of SPC, DOE, and 8D methods.
• Experience with big data analytics and AI/ML is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production line SPC monitoring and process window studies.
• Develop new process recipes for new/existing technologies.
• Improve process robustness, cost, and capacity efficiency via CIP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for recipe convergence.
• Train Associate Engineers and support day-to-day operations.
• Assist with production ramp, tool releases, and QA.
