Job summary

respond.io is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the cloud platform end-to-end, including infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, security, and cost. You will work with backend engineers on a high-throughput messaging platform built on AWS, applying DevSecOps practices and building AI automations.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to provision infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and raise reliability through SLOs/SLIs while leveraging tools like Terraform, AWS, and OpenSearch.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined software development and DevOps experience.
• Hands-on production coding in Node.js or Python.
• Strong cloud foundations with AWS and GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
• Knack for databases, containers, and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of security practices and DevSecOps.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Bring tangible impact and influence new changes on our platform.
• Collaborate with Development teams to provision infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues across databases, containers, serverless, and queues.
• Develop internal tooling and automations to improve SDLC and platform operations.
• Leverage AI tools to improve day-to-day operations.
• Implement SLOs/SLIs and improve system reliability.
