Job summary

PEERHEALTH MALAYSIA SDN BHD (P\S\L GROUP) seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and support scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC tools, ensuring reliability and performance.

You will implement robust CI/CD pipelines, monitor health, and collaborate with Development, Product and Security teams. Opportunity to pilot AI-powered observability and incident analysis within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University or college Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in web development, deployment and support.
• 3-5 years of experience with AWS cloud technologies and DevOps.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or DevOps tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LLM-based CI/CD agents).
• Familiarity with AIOps concepts and AI-powered observability tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced in Agile/SCRUM software development methodology.

Job description

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying and supporting applications. The Cloud DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for constantly reviewing and improving applications health to ensure optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

Architect, develop and automate cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible and CloudFormation, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.

Design, implement and optimize the Agentic CI/CD pipeline to accelerate software delivery following shift left SDLC best practices.

Define best practices for cloud solutions, including multi-region and global architecture, and deploy Cloud tools to optimize AWS services and usage.

Evaluate and pilot Generative AI and agentic services (Bedrock, AgentCore, Claude) for internal developer tooling.

Maintain the AI agent skills and runbooks used for automated incident investigation and root-cause analysis.

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud environments and applications running in the cloud following Site Reliability best practices.

Evaluate and adopt AI-powered observability capabilities, such as anomaly detection and alert correlation, to reduce noise and troubleshoot/assess performance and scalability issues.

Work with the Development, Product and Security teams on DevOps initiatives.

Perform code reviews for standards, quality assurance and security audit purposes.

Participate actively in investigating any operational issues in applications.

About you

University or college Computer Science degree or equivalent experience

5-7 years of experience in web development, deployment and support

3-5 years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies and DevOps

Experience working in a virtual cloud environment, implementing various AWS cloud solutions, as well as experience troubleshooting enterprise systems/technology solutions

Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible

Experience with AI-assisted development or DevOps tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LLM-based CI/CD agents) or strong interest in adopting it

Familiarity with AIOps concepts, AI-powered observability (e.g. Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace) and agentic AI concepts such as MCP and tool use

Comfortable authoring and maintaining prompts or agent \"skills\" that drive automated workflows

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experienced in Agile/SCRUM software development methodology
