Job summary

P\S\L Group is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to deploy and support cloud-based applications. You will continuously review and improve application health for optimal performance and reliability.

The role involves automating infrastructure with IaC, enhancing the CI/CD pipeline, and collaborating with multiple teams on DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in web deployment and strong AWS/DevOps experience, plus familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and observability platforms.

Qualifications

Summary

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying and supporting the applications. The Cloud DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for constantly reviewing and improving applications health to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and automate our cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible and CloudFormation, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
• Design, implement and optimize the Agentic CI/CD pipeline to accelerate software delivery following shift left SDLC best practices.
• Define best practices for cloud solutions, including multi-region and global architecture, and deploy Cloud tools to optimize our AWS services and usage.
• Evaluate and pilot Generative AI and agentic services (Bedrock, AgentCore, Claude) for internal developer tooling.
• Maintain the AI agent skills and runbooks used for automated incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud environments and applications running in the cloud following Site Reliability best practices.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-powered observability capabilities, such as anomaly detection and alert correlation, to reduce noise and troubleshoot/assess performance and scalability issues.
• Work with the Development, Product and Security teams on DevOps initiatives.
• Perform code reviews for standards, quality assurance and security audit purposes.
• Participate actively in investigating any operational issues in applications.
• Provide hands-on application design and coding for the complex or sensitive parts of the project.
• Consult with other development teams and generally contribute your skills wherever required.
• Communication: responsibility, initiative, taking pride & ownership in the work delivered.
• Maintain the applications, keeping them up to date through automation.

Qualifications

• University or college Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience in web development, deployment and support
• 3 - 5 years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies and DevOps.
• Experience working in a virtual cloud environment, implementing various AWS cloud solutions, as well as experience troubleshooting enterprise systems/technology solutions.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or DevOps tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LLM-based CI/CD agents) or strong interest in adopting it.
• Familiarity with AIOps concepts, AI-powered observability (e.g. Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace) and agentic AI concepts such as MCP and tool use.
• Comfortable authoring and maintaining prompts or agent "skills" that drive automated workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
