Job summary

SD Guthrie International (SDGI) is seeking a senior trading professional with a strong track record in derivatives markets. The role focuses on executing, hedging, and optimizing a market-making book across exchange and OTC platforms, with emphasis on risk controls and strategic research.

The ideal candidate will have a decade of experience in capital markets, CFA/FRM/PRM certifications, and a broad network of counterparties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's Degree or MBA is an advantage.
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) / FRM (Financial Risk Manager) / PRM (Professional Risk Manager).
• Relevant exchange or regulatory certifications.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in derivatives trading or capital markets.
• Proven track record in managing significant trading portfolios and generating sustainable returns.
• Experience across multiple derivatives products and asset classes.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure, pricing models, and risk analytics.
• Direct experience in market making on both exchange and OTC platforms.
• Prior exposure to algorithmic trading / electronic quoting engines.
• Established network of counterparties, brokers, and liquidity venues.

Responsibilities

• Execute derivatives transactions (futures, options, swaps, forwards) and manage trading positions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and optimize risk-return profile to meet revenue targets.
• Quote continuous two-way prices and maintain liquidity across vanilla and structured derivatives.
• Develop and maintain electronic execution infrastructure and quoting logic.
• Analyze market trends, data, volatility, and asset price movements to inform strategies.
• Monitor risk controls, hedging actions, and compliance with trading mandates.
• Liaise with brokers, exchanges, and counterparties to support market-making activities.
• Provide market insights and support business initiatives for trading desks.
