Job summary

EGG Digital, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist in Malaysia to identify business opportunities and translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies. You will collaborate with Data Science, Commercial, and Marketing teams to prioritize initiatives and build predictive models.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik. You will present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and support integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist across relevant industries.
• Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language.
• Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Basic experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
• Analytical, Problem-solving and communication skills.
• Interest in learning and growing in the field of data science.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Science, Commercial and Marketing teams) to identify and prioritize business opportunities that can be addressed through data-driven solutions.
• Extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets using a variety of tools and approaches.
• Develop, validate and deploy predictive models and algorithms using statistical and AI/machine learning methods.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Implement data-driven solutions in various environments, including integration with existing systems and processes.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in data science and bring new ideas and technologies to the team.
• Monitor the performance of deployed models together with algorithms and optimize as needed.
