Job summary

Ascend Group (Malaysia-Based) is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to collaborate with Data Science, Commercial and Marketing teams to identify business opportunities and deliver data-driven solutions.

You will extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive models, present findings to stakeholders, and stay current with new data science techniques.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience as a Data Scientist in relevant industries.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar language.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Implement data-driven solutions in various environments, including integration with existing systems and processes.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in data science and bring new ideas and technologies to the team.
• Monitor the performance of deployed models together with algorithms and optimize as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist across relevant industries.
• Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language.
• Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Basic experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
• Analytical, Problem-solving and communication skills.
