Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Data Science Engineer to design and deploy computer vision and AI solutions for manufacturing and environmental monitoring. You will work on few-shot learning, multimodal AI, and end-to-end model lifecycle.

The role requires strong Python, SQL, and C++ skills, plus experience with GCP and web tech like Angular and FastAPI. Collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science with minimum of 3 years of data science experience.
• Experience in semiconductor yield analysis & process optimization.
• Experience deploying end-to-end production-grade AI solutions in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in computer vision and deep learning in image analytics with good understanding of image processing techniques.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement computer vision systems and deep learning models for object detection, image segmentation, anomaly detection, and automated inspection.
• Apply advanced AI techniques including few-shot learning, generative AI, and multimodal fusion (text, image, time-series).
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Deploy data science models and lead the end-to-end life cycle: design, development, deployment, maintenance and monitoring.
• Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and experiments.
• Identify insights from large data and metadata sources and communicate findings to managers.
