Job summary

Newark Engineering Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled field service engineer to support HVAC and mission-critical cooling systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, manage spare parts, and provide technical support to customers.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years experience in HVAC/ACMV, after-sales service, field service or maintenance engineering.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience on HVAC or mission-critical cooling equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.
• Driving license preferred.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and mission-critical cooling equipment according to schedules and service agreements.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site inspections for quality, safety and compliance with company standards.
• Identify equipment abnormalities and recommend corrective actions to customers.
• Attend emergency service calls during DLP and maintenance contracts; diagnose faults and restore operation.
• Prepare service reports, root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures.
• Coordinate and supervise repair works; manage spare parts inventory for emergencies.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers and maintain accurate service records.
