Job summary

Large Main Contractor in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced Project Director to lead delivery of large-scale data centre projects. You will oversee programme, cost, quality, safety and stakeholder management from pre-construction to handover.

This senior role requires strong leadership, extensive data centre/industrial project exposure, and the ability to manage multi-discipline teams and complex contractual regimes within a Tier 1 contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, MEP Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant construction experience with senior project leadership.
• Proven track record on large-scale data centre, mission-critical or complex projects.
• Experience with major main contractor / Tier 1 contractor preferred.
• Strong MEP and mission-critical infrastructure exposure.
• Experience leading large project teams and multiple subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for major data centre projects.
• Accountable for programme, cost, quality, safety and client satisfaction.
• Lead project team including PMs, construction, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning and MEP.
• Develop project execution strategies and delivery plans.
• Manage construction programme and major milestones per contract.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural and MEP works for mission-critical systems.
• Lead client meetings and maintain governance and reporting to senior management.
• Monitor budgets, variations, claims, procurement and commercial performance.
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor management for timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
