Job summary

Cisco Systems Malaysia is seeking a highly experienced Consulting Engineer to lead strategy, design, and implementation of sophisticated Data Center and networking solutions. You will own end-to-end delivery, translating customer requirements into scalable architectures while shaping technology transitions at the highest levels.

The role demands deep L2/L3 networking expertise, hands-on Nexus experience, and a strong background in Cisco VXLAN Fabric and ACI Fabric.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; 8–12 years in customer-facing technical consulting, pre-sales, or service delivery.
Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (vPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) with hands-on Nexus platform experience.
Experience designing and deploying Data Center solutions including Cisco VXLAN Fabric and Cisco ACI Fabric architectures.

Responsibilities

Partner with Cisco account teams and partners to align designs with customer goals and drive success across pre-sales and delivery.
Act as escalation point for complex technical issues across a broad range of technologies.
Develop reusable delivery frameworks and knowledge-sharing practices for the consulting practice.
Lead design, implementation, and optimization of Data Center projects to accelerate outcomes.
Design and implement network solutions ensuring seamless integration and proactive service assurance.
Integrate services appliances (firewalls, IPS, load balancers, WAN optimizers) in Data Center designs.
Produce Design recommendations, High-Level and Low-Level Design, and Implementation/Change Management Plans.
