Job summary

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd is seeking a data analytics professional to collect, validate, and analyze statistical data, then prepare periodic reports and dashboards for management review. The role requires a degree in statistics or IT, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in Navis TOS, Power BI, and MS Office. Strong communication in Malay and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Statistics, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of working experience in any organization.
• Knowledge of the port, shipping, and cargo-related industries is an added advantage.
• Strong skills in statistical analysis and reporting, with knowledge of Navis Terminal Operating System (TOS) and basic terminal operations.
• Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce accurate reports, monitor KPIs, and provide business performance insights to support effective operational decision-making.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Power BI, for documentation, reporting, data analysis, visualization, and effective communication.
• Experience in managing Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation, with knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, and ISO 37001 requirements, including document control, audit coordination, and compliance activities.
• Strong administrative and billing experience, with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process efficiency.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of the technical and functional aspects of the role.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Resourceful, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written Malay and English.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, validate, and maintain statistical data from various sources.
• Analyse data and prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Monitor trends, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of data records.
• Maintain databases, filing systems, and documentation in an organized manner.
• Provide administrative support, including correspondence, scheduling, record management, and meeting coordination.
• Prepare reports, letters, minutes of meetings, and other administrative documents.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data collection and reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and ensure timely submission of reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and record-retention requirements.
• Perform other administrative and statistical tasks as assigned by the Management.
