Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Senior Costing Executive to support end-to-end costing and inventory activities at our Malaysia plant. You will manage period-end costing in SAP, update costing data, and liaise with operations to ensure accurate BOM, routing, and cost reporting.

The role requires a degree in Accounting or Finance, manufacturing costing experience, strong Excel skills, and SAP expertise. Fluency in English, independence, and an adaptable attitude are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end costing and inventory activities in Malaysia plant operations.
• Close period-end costing per SAP timetable and prepare reports for auditors.
• Update costing information and analyze material price changes in FX.
• Monitor BOM and routing with operations teams and prepare variance analyses.
• Prepare cost and margin analysis by products/models/customers.
• Review intercompany pricing and ensure inventory provisions are accurate.
• Assist with capital expenditure reporting and fixed asset capitalization.

As a Senior Costing Executive, you will be responsible for the support of end-to-end costing and inventory activities in Malaysia plant operations.

What you will do:

• Responsible for period-end costing activities to ensure period is closed as per agreed timetable in SAP

• Update Entity and Group costing information and prepare recurring and ad hoc costing and inventory reports to facilitate the monthly review and analysis from Corporate and external auditors

• Analyze cost impact and maintain standard costs of new items or revise on existing items in SAP

• Prepare costing analysis for any change of material prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange

• Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing and liaise with operations team.

• Prepare all manufacturing related reports e.g. variance analysis and manufacturing expenses for actuals vs budget, etc.

• Prepare cost and margin analysis by products/models/customers

• Analyze Intercompany / Inter regional pricing and net structural savings

• Support monthly inventory provision and slow-moving provision based on inventory accounting policies

• Involve in warehouse stock count process as a finance counterpart and review the stock count control and follow-up on count variances

• Prepare capital expenditure report for actuals versus budgets and ensure the fixed asset capitalization is adhered to accounting policies

• Manage plant accounting function and ensure accurate accounting record - Fixed Asset, COGS, Inventory, Intangible Asset, overhead prepayment, overhead accruals, and etc

What you will bring:

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant field
• Work experience in manufacturing for costing role is a must
• English fluency, both written and spoken
• Good excel skill
• SAP experience
