Ingredion Incorporated in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Costing Executive for plant operations to manage period-end costing, maintain standard costs in SAP, and produce reports for monthly reviews and auditors.
You will collaborate with operations teams, monitor BOMs and routings, analyze cost variances, and prepare cost and margin analyses by product, model, and customer, while supporting inventory provisions and asset capitalization per policy.

Senior Costing Executive – Malaysia plant operations
Responsible for period-end costing activities to ensure period is closed as per agreed timetable in SAP Update Entity and Group costing information and prepare recurring and ad hoc costing and inventory reports to facilitate the monthly review and analysis from Corporate and external auditors. Analyze cost impact and maintain standard costs of new items or revise on existing items in SAP. Prepare costing analysis for any change of material prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange. Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing and liaise with operations team. Prepare all manufacturing related reports e.g. variance analysis and manufacturing expenses for actuals vs budget, etc. Prepare cost and margin analysis by products/models/customers. Analyze Intercompany / Inter regional pricing and net structural savings. Support monthly inventory provision and slow-moving provision based on inventory accounting policies. Involve in warehouse stock count process as a finance counterpart and review the stock count control and follow-up on count variances. Prepare capital expenditure report for actuals versus budgets and ensure the fixed asset capitalization is adhered to accounting policies. Manage plant accounting function and ensure accurate accounting record – Fixed Asset, COGS, Inventory, Intangible Asset, overhead prepayment, overhead accruals, and etc.
Able to perform in dynamic multicultural environment with an adaptive attitude. Work independently with minimum supervision from superior and proactively engage with operations teams to resolve issues and close any operation and accounting gap. Able to understand the plant operations and provide an in-depth analysis on the product costing view.
