Turner & Townsend in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management and commercial advisory for high-profile interior fit-out projects. You will oversee costs from concept through procurement, construction and close-out, ensuring budget alignment and client satisfaction.

The role requires deep expertise in workplace and retail fit-outs, strong procurement and contract administration skills, and proven leadership of project teams in a consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Services Engineering.
• Professional accreditation such as MRICS, RICS, AIQS, or CIQS is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost management principles, procurement methodologies, contract administration, and commercial management practices.
• 8-11 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Commercial Management, or Project Delivery.
• Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle from feasibility to close-out.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, pre-contract studies, budgets, and cost estimates for interior fit-out projects.
• Provide procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and contract administration.
• Manage post-contract cost control, variations, forecasts, and final accounts.
• Maintain client relationships and lead Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
• Support design teams balancing function, aesthetics and budget.
