Job summary

EP2C in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator for upstream Oil & Gas projects. You will develop accurate cost estimates for Conceptual, Pre-FEED and FEED stages and review contractor estimates.

You will identify cost-related risks, present analyses to project teams and management, and benchmark industry trends to ensure competitiveness. Fluency in English and engineering degree required; 7–15 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years' upstream Oil & Gas cost estimation experience.
• Experience with Conceptual/Pre-FEED/FEED cost estimation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Job Scope:

• Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Conceptual/Pre-FEED/FEED projects by analyzing project specifications, scope, and engineering information.
• Review the Pre-FEED/FEED cost estimation from contractors and consolidate for overall project costs.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure cost predictability.
• Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to project teams and management and JVPs.
• Benchmarking: Stay updated on industry cost trends, benchmarks, and best practices to ensure competitiveness.

Mandatory requirements:

• 7-15 years' working experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with cost estimation for Conceptual, Pre-FEED and FEED.
• Strong teamwork and communications skills.
• University degree (or similar qualification) in Engineering.
• Fluent in oral & written English.
