Sim & Rahman in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Conveyancing Lawyer to join our property and estates team. You will handle SPAs, loan documents, and related conveyancing work, working with Partners and colleagues to ensure accurate, timely transactions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in conveyancing or property law, a recognised LLB, a practising certificate (or in the process), and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication; knowledge of a Chinese dialect is a plus.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent recognised legal qualification.
• Valid practising certificate or in the process of obtaining one, subject to applicable professional requirements.
• At least six (6) years of experience in conveyancing or property law.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to speak a Chinese dialect is an added advantage.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, and prepare conveyancing documents, including SPAs, loan documentation, transfer instruments, and related documents.
• Liaise with clients, bankers, real estate agents, and government agencies to facilitate property transactions.
• Conduct property title searches and due diligence to ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Manage transaction timelines and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely completion.
• Provide general legal support and conduct legal research as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and other conveyancing matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare conveyancing documents, including sale and purchase agreements (SPAs), loan documentation, transfer instruments, and other related legal documents.
• Liaise with clients, bankers, real estate agents, and relevant government agencies to facilitate property transactions.
• Conduct property title searches and due diligence to ensure the accuracy and legal compliance of transactions.
• Manage transaction timelines and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure the smooth and timely completion of conveyancing transactions.
• Provide general legal support and conduct legal research as required.

Requirements
