Job summary

Khai Shian Construction Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of building construction from start to handover.

You will lead project teams, monitor progress against programme and specs, control budgets, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure safety, quality and contractual obligations are met. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, site coordination, and contract administration.
• Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, manpower, and resources.
• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently, lead a project team, and handle multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
• Willing to travel and be based at project sites as required.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of building construction projects from commencement to completion.
• Monitor project progress to ensure works follow approved programme and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams for smooth execution.
• Manage project budgets, resources, manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Monitor site activities to ensure safety, quality, and construction compliance.
• Identify risks, delays and technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Lead and supervise project teams including Project Engineers and Site Supervisors.
• Attend site meetings and prepare regular progress reports for management and clients.
• Review drawings, specifications, work programmes and project documentation.
• Monitor costs, variation orders, claims and subcontractor payments.
• Oversee handover and rectify outstanding works and defects.
