Job summary

KMWE Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines according to engineering drawings and production specifications. You will change tools, adjust feeds and speeds, and ensure smooth workflow across shifts.

You will perform in-process quality checks with calipers, micrometers, and vision measuring equipment, verify GD&T against specifications, and assist junior machinists with setup and troubleshooting while maintaining safety and 5S.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Precision Machining / Manufacturing / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or related field, or 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience operating 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
• Good math and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machines according to drawings and specs.
• Change cutting tools and adjust feeds and speeds as needed.
• Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Report defects and collaborate with Supervisors to resolve issues.
• Assist Junior machinists with setup and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain safety and 5S standards in the workspace.
