Job summary
Smartlink Engineering Sdn Bhd is expanding its Tool Shop team and seeks an experienced Senior Executive – CNC Machining to oversee CNC activities, assist programming and drive process improvements. The role emphasizes achieving quality, productivity and on-time delivery through technical leadership and collaboration with QC and other departments.
The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years in CNC machining, and
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Strong experience in CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning.
- Good knowledge of CNC programming, tooling and machining parameters.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor daily CNC machining activities.
- Support CNC programming, machine setup and process optimisation.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and machining requirements.
- Select cutting tools, tooling and machining parameters.
- Troubleshoot CNC machining and quality issues.
- Monitor machine utilisation, productivity, cycle time and downtime.
- Ensure machined components meet specifications and tolerances.
- Work with QC and other departments to resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency and tool life.
- Provide guidance to CNC machinists and operators.
- Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
- Prepare production and machining performance reports.
