Job summary

Axonect is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design and enforce security controls across AWS environments in Kuala Lumpur. You will work with developers to build secure cloud architectures and implement guardrails.

Candidates should have 4+ years in cloud security, strong knowledge of AWS security services, and hands-on experience with IAM, networking, compute, storage, databases, containers, and threat monitoring. Certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services, cloud security architecture, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, networking, compute, storage, databases, containers, and security monitoring services.
• Familiarity with CSPM, security configuration reviews, risk assessments, and threat monitoring.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and incident response.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Relevant AWS or cloud security certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS cloud environments.
• Secure AWS services, including IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty.
• Establish and maintain cloud security architecture, standards, guardrails, and best practices.
• Conduct cloud security risk assessments, configuration reviews, and security posture evaluations.
• Monitor cloud environments for threats, suspicious activities, and configuration deviations.
• Support investigations and remediation of security incidents involving cloud resources and workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure cloud deployments and compliance with security requirements.
• Support regulatory audits, cloud security assessments, and third-party security reviews.
