We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Chemist who has a solid experience in handling natural rubber latex to drive formulation development, material optimization, and process efficiency in our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead laboratory trials, spearhead raw material assessments (from latex, chemicals and compounds), and collaborate closely with production teams to translate lab-scale innovations into robust, cost-effective factory outputs.
Formulation & Product Development: Design, test, and optimize chemical compounding and rubber/latex formulations to meet stringent global quality and performance standards.
Process Optimization & Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for material substitutions and process improvements to drive cost efficiencies (e.g., compounding yield optimization) without compromising product integrity.
Laboratory & Analytical Leadership: Oversee advanced laboratory analyses and instrumental testing; ensure strict maintenance, calibration, and sterilization protocols for all critical lab equipment.
Production Scale-Up & Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support directly to the production floor during new product introduction and trials.
Quality & Customer Resolution: Investigate technical customer complaints, perform rigorous root-cause stability testing, and generate comprehensive scientific reports to rectify compounding or processing anomalies.
EHS & Compliance: Maintain full compliance with local and international environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legislation within the laboratory and compounding environments.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) or higher in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a highly related discipline from a reputable university.
Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on R&D or technical chemist experience in handling natural rubber latex, ideally within the latex, glove, rubber thread, or polymer manufacturing industries.
Technical Skill Set:
Proven track record in polymer/rubber compounding, raw material assessment, and stability testing.
Hands‑on proficiency with analytical lab instrumentation and product development software.
Strong capabilities in experimental design, statistical data sorting, and scientific analysis.
