Job summary

Rubberflex Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Chemist with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in natural rubber latex to drive formulation development, material optimization, and process efficiency on the factory floor.

You will lead lab trials, assess raw materials from latex and chemicals, work with production teams, and translate innovations into cost-effective, scalable outputs while upholding quality, EHS, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on R&D or technical chemistry experience in natural rubber latex.
• Proven track record in polymer/rubber compounding and stability testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and optimize rubber/latex formulations to meet global quality standards.
• Identify cost-saving material substitutions and process improvements.
• Oversee laboratory analyses and ensure instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Provide technical guidance during production scale-up and trials.
• Investigate customer complaints and perform root-cause testing.
• Ensure EHS compliance within lab and compounding environments.
