Job summary

Pahang Pharmacy Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced lab supervisor to oversee chemists and analysts, ensure GMP/GLP compliance, and drive method development and validation in our quality-focused laboratory.

You will train new staff, review analytical data from GC and HPLC, maintain SOPs, and operate instruments like GC, HPLC, UV, and AAS to support finished product and raw material testing. The role requires meeting tight deadlines and working in a team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Food Technology or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in GMP/GLP environments.
• Knowledge in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, AAS, etc.
• Familiar with methodologies, QA/QC requirements and related instrumentation.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Job description

Supervises and directs Chemists, Analysts and support staff as project or work conditions require.

Responsible for reviewing/checking computer-generated calculations and testing reports for finished product, raw material, stability study and packaging material initially.

Provides hands on training for new chemist and analyst.

Prepare samples and perform routine analyses as required on the GC, HPLC, etc.

Prepare, review and execute protocols for method development, validation, etc., as assigned.

Operate and maintain analytical instruments, HPLC, GC, UV, AAS etc., as required.

Create and updated all Standard Operating Procedure for lab.

Complies with GMP/GLP requirements, laboratory, SOP’s and company policies and procedures.

Implementation of safety procedures among new chemists and analysts.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Food Technology or related scientific discipline.

Minimum 5 year experience in the same or closely related GMP/GLP environment

Knowledge in calibrate, maintain and trouble-shoot various analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, AAS, etc.

Familiar with related methodologies, procedures, QA/QC requirements and instrumentation as directly related to the position

Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision to meet tight deadline
