Job summary

Segi Fresh in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Manager / Category Manager / Category Executive for Fresh & Grocery to lead item maintenance in SAP/ARMS, negotiate promotions, and optimize buying income files. The role oversees category KPIs, reviews margin reports, and proposes actions for items with negative margins.

Based in Kelana Jaya, with relocation to Wisma Segi Subang in 2027, this position requires travel and strong supplier networks.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
Experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising or Purchasing within retail or FMCG.
Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate buying, promotional and merchandising activities for Grocery & Fresh Division and ensure timely deliveries.
Negotiate with local and international suppliers on price, quantity, quality and terms.
Develop action plans to reduce store disposal and improve margins.
Analyze customer purchasing behavior and market trends across stores.
Monitor suppliers’ delivery performance and stock levels.
Provide insights and feedback to management to improve KPIs.
