Job summary

AMD in Penang seeks a design engineer to optimize RTL-to-GDS flows, supporting the CAD and methodology team across multiple semiconductor projects. You will enable tools, PDKs, and collateral for efficient operations, working with Silicon development teams and CAD vendors.

You will apply modern architectural understanding, collaborate across sites, and contribute to flow development while learning new methodologies and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in TCL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows (synthesis, place-and-route, signoff) and CAD environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the RTL-to-GDS flow across multiple IC design projects.
• Maintain and improve standardized RTL-to-GDS design flows (synthesis - P&R - signoff).
• Develop and support customized RTL-to-GDS flows for Fabric design groups.
• Collaborate with external tool vendors to meet design targets.
• Build tool-flow methodologies for timing, power, EM/IR, and DRC/LVS/DFM.
