Job summary

AMD in Penang seeks an RTL design engineer to plan, build, and execute RTL tasks for High Speed IO Protocol IPs (USB, PCIe, Ethernet, UFS) used in AMD’s product portfolio, aiming for bug-free final designs.

You will work within the Technology and Engineering Group, performing design flows, simulations, and debugging, while developing scripts to improve daily task efficiency and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (E&E) or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog, Verilog, Perl, TCL; Python is a plus.
• AI fluency and familiarity with AI tools will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand architecture specifications and complete duties assigned by the Supervisor.
• Work well inside team/cross functional team.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members to understand tasks that require delivery.
• Run design flows, simulations and regression management.
• Perform first level debug to determine the root cause of design errors.
• Suggest fixes and solutions to test/design errors.
• Develop scripting for daily task execution efficiency improvement.
