Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions using the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS). You will transform raw data into clear, actionable business insights by modeling data and delivering scalable ETL/ELT processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong data modeling and ETL development experience, plus excellent communication to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in BI development or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, dimensional modeling, and database design concepts.
• Expertise in T-SQL, including complex queries, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling: Design, build, and maintain enterprise data models and schemas, including dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• ETL Processes: Build, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS.
• Analysis & Reporting: Develop and manage semantic models in SSAS and build operational reports and dashboards using SSRS.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data workflows for maximum performance and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate technical concepts clearly to business users and gather functional requirements to deliver impactful BI solutions.
