Job summary

Ideal Reliance in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a BI/ETL Analyst with about 6 years of experience to design and maintain data warehousing and BI solutions across the full SDLC.

You will work with IBM DataStage, SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI, Python, and Spark on Azure, translating business needs into reliable reports and dashboards while ensuring data quality and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Approx. 6 years of experience as a BI/ETL Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage or equivalent ETL tools.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI.
• Experience with Python and Apache Spark (Spark Pools) for ETL development.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and data integration.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including cloud architecture and methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support Data Warehousing (DWH) and BI solutions throughout the full SDLC.
• Develop, maintain, and support ETL processes using IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data into the enterprise data warehouse.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects and Power BI.
• Collaborate closely with business users to understand reporting requirements and perform data mapping between source and target systems.
• Troubleshoot BI tools, ETL jobs, and reporting solutions, ensuring optimal system performance through tuning and enhancements.
• Develop ETL pipelines and data processing jobs using Spark Pools and Python.
• Support data integration, validation, and data quality initiatives.
• Participate in system testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in BI architecture, ETL processes, and reporting capabilities.
