Job summary

DayOne in Malaysia is seeking a Senior BMS Engineer to lead maintenance, optimisation, and integration of building management systems within our data center environments.

You will analyse performance data, manage upgrades, ensure compliance and safety, and deliver training to operations teams. Strong technical and communication skills are essential for coordinating with contractors and IT staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of BMS engineering experience in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Certifications in BMS/HVAC or PMP are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot BMS hardware and software to ensure reliability.
• Analyze BMS data to identify trends and optimize energy efficiency.
• Lead upgrade projects and coordinate with contractors and IT/facilities teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Develop and deliver staff training on BMS operation and maintenance.
• Integrate BMS with other data center systems and resolve interoperability issues.
