Job summary

Scicom MSC Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Senior BMC Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and debug BMC firmware for hyperscale server products. You will collaborate with BIOS, hardware, validation, and customer teams to deliver reliable server management solutions.

Applicants should have a BS degree with 5+ years of server platform and BMC firmware experience, plus strong embedded C/C++ skills and familiarity with IPMI/Redfish/PLDM protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in server platform and BMC firmware development.
• Hands-on experience with embedded software development using C/C++.
• Good understanding of Intel and AMD server architectures.
• Experience with server management technologies such as IPMI, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, or related protocols.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across firmware, hardware, and system integration.
• Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BMC firmware features for Intel, AMD, and storage server platforms.
• Execute BMC feature implementation, integration, validation, and release activities according to product requirements.
• Debug and resolve firmware, hardware, platform management, and system-level issues during development and production phases.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, technical documentation, and development deliverables.
• Work closely with BIOS, hardware, validation, and system engineering teams to ensure successful product integration.
• Support customer issue investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in firmware quality, development efficiency, and platform reliability.
