Job summary

Scicom MSC Berhad is seeking a BMC Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and debug BMC firmware for hyperscale server platforms. You will collaborate with hardware, BIOS, validation, and software teams to deliver scalable and reliable server management solutions and meet customer requirements.

The role involves end-to-end feature development, debugging, and customer collaboration, with a focus on IPMI/Redfish/PLDM/MCTP standards and Linux-based embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related technical field.
• Experience in server platform development and BMC firmware.
• Knowledge of hyperscale server architectures (Intel/AMD).
• Experience with embedded software/firmware using C/C++.
• Familiar with IPMI, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM or related standards.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting for firmware and hardware.
• Experience working with customers to gather requirements.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Preferred: OpenBMC development and Linux-based embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop BMC firmware and platform management features for hyperscale Intel, AMD, and storage server platforms.
• Drive end-to-end BMC feature development, implementation, integration, validation, and product release activities.
• Investigate, triage, and debug BMC firmware, platform management, and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into product features and engineering solutions.
• Create and maintain feature specifications, design documents, and technical requirements.
• Work with hardware, BIOS, validation, and system engineering teams to ensure feature integration and quality.
• Provide timely technical support and resolutions for customer issues and escalations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BMC architecture and development processes.
