Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager / Senior Executive to identify and pursue opportunities in construction, engineering, M&E, HVAC, and industrial projects. You will develop strategies to hit sales targets, generate leads, and build a robust client pipeline.

As the primary BD contact, you will manage relationships with clients, consultants, developers and contractors, coordinate tender submissions with internal teams, and negotiate terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• 10 years of BD, sales, tendering or client management in construction/engineering.
• Strong understanding of contracts and tender processes.
• Established network within construction and engineering industry is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in construction, engineering, M&E, HVAC, industrial projects.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
• Generate new leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and market research.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
• Prepare and deliver business presentations, proposals, and company profiles to potential clients.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors and industry stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for business development activities.
• Coordinate with estimating, engineering, commercial, and project teams in preparing tender submissions and proposals.
• Review tender requirements and ensure timely submission of bids.
• Participate in tender clarifications, negotiations, and contract discussions.
• Identify and establish partnerships, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and collaborations with local partners.
