Coherent Corp. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to advance bar fabrication processes, optimize yield and quality, and lead the conditioning of complex assembly lines. The role requires hands-on expertise with packaging design, UV epoxy usage, and precision assembly.

You will collaborate across teams to implement process controls and drive continuous improvement. The candidate should have 5+ years of engineering experience (BS/MS or equivalent) and strong problem-solving abilities,

Formación

• Minimum 5 years engineering experience (BS/MS or equivalent).
• Knowledge of opto-electronics packaging design and related materials and processes.
• Hands-on experience with epoxy/eutectic attach, wire bonding, optical alignment, and mechanical assembly.
• Knowledgeable in UV epoxies for optical alignment processes.
• Strong interpersonal, teaming and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate, DOE, and experiment on bar fab processes to optimize yield and quality of processes.
• Manage or knowledge of saw process for scribe/cleave, stacking, wafer saw, and integration of bar fab modules used in facet coating technology.
• Characterize the process output including across spacer and within spacer uniformity using profilometer, confocal microscope, and SEM and other FA techniques when needed.
• Create and manage process flows, MES/Camstar WIP tracking, manage process traveler instructions and Agile change control.
• Summarize results and present status in monthly or weekly meetings.
• Track Cpks and SPC parameters and retrain and enforce process and module procedures.
