Job summary

Flex seeks a Design, Process and Technology Engineer in Prai, Penang, to bridge innovation and high-volume manufacturing. You will drive process design, cost-effective production methods, and robust transfer from R&D.

This role requires hands-on PCB assembly know‑how and collaboration across global teams. With a bachelor’s in engineering and 4+ years of process experience, you’ll implement SPC-based improvements, train staff, and lead problem-solving during builds to ensure quality and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of PCBA, SMT, Wave Soldering, and Assembly processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating with multi stakeholders to ensure smooth project transfer from R&D to Penang site.

Responsibilities

• Be the bridge between innovation engineering teams and high-volume production groups, turning concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Evaluate product designs and provide data-driven recommendations to boost process efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design manufacturing processes that are innovative, cost-effective, and scalable.
• Lead quick-reaction engineering teams to troubleshoot challenges during product builds.
• Define and sustain robust process parameters for high-quality manufacturing.
• Apply SPC and analytics to monitor performance and yield.
• Champion safety, productivity, and throughput improvements.
