Job summary

SAS in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant in Risk Solutions to combine risk expertise with technical delivery for banking clients. You will translate regulatory requirements into practical, technology-enabled solutions that support risk and finance processes while strengthening capital management and decision making.

This senior, client-facing role requires strong communication and hands-on experience in solution design, configuration, and implementation across Asia Pacific

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in financial risk management or risk advisory.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, Basel capital rules and risk modelling.
• Hands-on experience translating regulatory requirements into solution designs.
• Experience with risk and finance transformation programmes.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Advise banks on credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk management, including regulatory capital.
• Lead workshops with senior executives to understand priorities and translate requirements.
• Translate requirements into solution designs, data needs, and implementation plans.
• Lead or support demonstrations, POCs, and client-facing engagements across Asia Pacific.
• Collaborate with SAS teams to shape client solutions and drive business outcomes.
