Job summary

Tentacle Tech in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, build, and support critical applications within the Ambit Focus ecosystem for a banking client. You will contribute to solution development, system support, and collaboration with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes SDLC best practices, hands-on coding in C#, T-SQL, and MSSQL, and strong problem-solving in a banking environment. Onsite work and teamwork with IT and business units are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• 4–6 years of application development experience, preferably in banking.
• Hands-on knowledge of MSSQL SSAS, T-SQL, C#, VB scripting, PowerShell, and Windows command scripts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support critical applications within Ambit Focus ecosystem for banking operations.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications within Ambit Focus, including data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Customize and configure Ambit Focus screens, workflows, forms, and reports per business requirements.
• Integrate Ambit Focus with external banking systems via APIs, files, or middleware.
• Provide production support: troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Translate requirements into technical specs and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with analysts, PMs, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions.
• Support testing, UAT, go-live activities for upgrades and patches.
