Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and deploy innovative features across our Employment Operating System. You’ll work with a global team to disrupt the employment industry by delivering scalable, secure solutions.

You’ll contribute to server-side and RESTful API development, mentor teammates, and embrace a remote-first culture that empowers autonomous, high-performing engineers. Training in Ruby will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong focus on server-side and RESTful API development.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, PHP) with Ruby training provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive squad to develop critical features for customers using Ruby and other stack.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and UX to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write automated tests for production code and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Develop and maintain key components of web applications.
• Mentor Junior Engineers within the squad.
