Job summary

Glints is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems in a microservices architecture. You will work closely with frontend teams to deliver seamless integration and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires Node.js/Nest.js expertise, AWS experience, and strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, with leadership responsibilities for a small team. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of backend engineering experience with Node.js, Nest.js and AWS.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Proficient in microservices, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Redis and Kafka preferred.
• Leadership experience mentoring a small team.
• Proficient in asynchronous programming and event-driven design.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems in a microservices setup.
• Implement microservices patterns for scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Use AWS services for cloud computing, storage, and deployment.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate backend with user interfaces.
• Apply security best practices and protect data.
• Develop and maintain data storage using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.
