Job summary

GXBank is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to strengthen our digital banking platform. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable backend services in Go, focusing on reliability and performance in production environments.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers while owning several microservices from design to deployment. The role demands hands‑on coding and architectural thinking in a fintech setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns (Singleton, Factory, etc.).
• Solid understanding of clean code and SOLID principles.
• Good understanding of clean architecture principles.
• Experience building HTTP RESTful APIs and messaging (Kafka/SQS).
• Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes and Dockerfile).
• Experience with cloud deployment services (AWS).
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and write backend services in Go to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of Digibank’s services.
• Collaborate with engineers to explore new design/architectures for scale and performance.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Collaborate with product/experience teams to define feature specs.
• Work with infrastructure to build and scale back-end services and perform RCA.
