Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power services used by millions of users in Southeast Asia. You will work with Go, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the platform's performance and reliability from the Malaysia office in Petaling Jaya.

• Explore and create new designs/architectures aimed at scale and performance.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design and write with the cutting edge GO language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Grab's range of services.
• You will contribute to service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning and optimization
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standard
• You will explore and create new designs/architectures geared towards scale and performance.
• Work with the infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services and performing root cause analysis investigations.
